From PM Narendra Modi to Sachin Tendulkar - Here's how India congratulated PV Sindhu on historic gold

Entire India and the Badminton fraternity erupted in joy as PV Sindhu became the first Indian shuttler to win a gold medal in the BWF World Championships. Sindhu defeated her Japanese counterpart Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-14 to win the summit clash of the BWF World Championships 2019 in Basel. From Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar to Saina Nehwal everyone took to social media platform Twitter to send congratulatory messages to the Indian ace shuttler after her historic achievement on Sunday.
PM Modi congratulated Sindhu for winning the yellow metal in Basel while stating her passion and dedication towards the sport is inspiring. The Indian prime minister added that Sindhu’s success will inspire the generations to come. Whereas Nehwal congratulated Sindhu for becoming the first shuttler to win a gold in the world championships.
“The stupendously talented @Pvsindhu1 makes India proud again! Congratulations to her for winning the Gold at the BWF World Championships. The passion and dedication with which she’s pursued badminton is inspiring. PV Sindhu’s success will inspire generations of players,” wrote PM Modi.
