WORLD POST DAY 2022: With the age of the internet and instant messaging services, postal services may seem a tad bit obsolete. However, the postal system is an important part of a region’s connectivity, especially in areas with little to no digital footprint. As such, it is imperative to understand why World Post Day is celebrated each year on the 9th of October. According to the United Nations, World Post Day is celebrated on the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern.
