Withdrawal failed due to technical glitch? It won't be counted in 'free monthly' ATM transactions: Reserve Bank of India

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday clarified that those transactions which fail on account of technical and other specified reasons shall not be included in the 'five free monthly ATM transactions'. 'It has come to our notice that transactions that have failed due to technical reasons, non-availability of currency in ATMs etc. are also included in the number of free ATM transactions,' the RBI said in a notification.
